Marseilles Beachfront Hotel

The hotel is great but would like to go back when the construction of both side of the hotels adjacent to the Marseilles is complete. 

I love the elegance of the hotel and the pool and backyard place! Rooms were beautiful and well kept! Definitely would recommend this place and will definitely come back for another trip and make this my place of stay!

We loved the pool & grounds and the location was fantastic.  Th staff at the pool, pool bar, bellman & room cleaner were awesome & very friendly yet the front desk staff were rude.  We almost left in spite of losing the cost of 4 nights pre-paid when we first saw the room.  It appears updated and nice in pics, but it’s still very dated and felt almost like a hostel with a weird open closet area, very uncomfortable beds & cheap decor on the walls that didn’t go with anything else.  Every room has very noisy old window a/c units that rattle (not shown in any pics)  & the hallways are especially dated with old worn red carpet, etc.  Not what we were expecting based on the pics.  We stayed and ended up having a great time, we loved the grounds so we just stayed away from our room until we were exhausted enough to go right to sleep.    

Couldn’t have picked a better place , everyone was friendly. Our room was clean and the entertainment areas were awesome! Definitely recommend and will be staying here again

I stayed at Marseilles for 5 nights with my family.  It is a family oriented hotel.  The staff is very nice (I don't know why some people complained about it in their reviews).  It is right by the beach and they provide you two lounge chairs and umbrella every day.  Happy hour drinks are a must ($1 for cocktails!!).  Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I definitely recommend it!

Great location, we could walk most places. However the construction while we were on the beach was disruptive and the restaurant they have is very slow and serves food cold. 

We loved our stay at Marseilles. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was gorgeous, and it was great having direct access to the beach. We ate lunch & breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant & it was delicious. The only negative is all of the construction noise next door to the hotel, but obviously that can’t be controlled. 

Our family of 4 had a great stay! It was near beach events, food and shopping. The staff was inviting and always shared a smile. The room is tight for a family of 4 but it worked out just fine. Highly recommend!

Servitörerna var trevliga och hjälpsamma samt att hotellet ligger nära stranden är det ända positiva.
Mycket högljutt och lyhört i rummen.Man kunde inte sova på nätterna av all oljud.Receptionisterna inte alls tilmötesgående och ville inte anstränga sig alls.
Bokade rum för 3 vuxna, inga möjlighter att hänga kläder, trångt i rummet som är tänkt för 4 personer. Alla våra kläder var i våra resväskor som la på golvet av rummet. man kunde inte gå förbi.
Badrummet gammalt utan ventilation och ingen fönster kunde öppnas för att släppa ångan från rummet. Fönstret var fastskruvat, man behövde lämna badrumsdörren öppen mot rummet för att kunna andas efter duschen. Kranen till badrumsvasken fungerade knappt, jätte dålig vattentryck samt inget varmvatten.
Rekomenderas inte!

Our stay was wonderful. Convenient to everything! 

The property itself was beautiful, right off the beach. Ah-mazing place! Room was perfect EXCEPT for the elevator noise. Do not stay next to them if u dont have to. Annoying as all get out but it was spring break so not much choice for me but seriously bout sent me thru the roof & when i talked to front desk they acted like nobodys ever complained about it. Told em to go spend 10 minutes in the room & they'd know sure they haven't other than that beyond beautiful & happy hour was $1tip free drinks inside & outside bars so back & forth i went beach chair & umbrella also complimentary with stay parking is available but not visible dont know cost since I paid for parking before checking in cuz u cant see a lot or anything kind of ripped on that 1 good stay good price good times

Family friendly hotel, beautiful outdoor, heated pool, backyard with jacuzzi, bar, water beds, games, and more, private access to the beach, beach chairs and umbrella included. Food is very good, not worthy to look for breakfast or dinner somewhere else. Lots of store around. Staff is super nice and very helpful! Highly recommended, especially to families! 

Personalen var jättetrevlig. Poolområdet var jättebra men rummen var rejält sletna. Golvet var i så dåligt skick att vi fick flisor i fötterna. Sen hade vi ett rum bredvid hissen och den lät så in i hela friden vilket påtalades till en i personalen. Även AC fungerade lite som den själv ville och ”gnisslade” i perioder…..

We enjoyed our stay at the Marseille beachfront hotel for the most part however there were some concerns. Our room itself appeared a little outdated and did not have a fridge, however it was clean and we were given fresh towels everyday. The hotel is located on Collins ave which is a very busy street, we heard lots of noise and commotion from motorbikes, the neighboring nightclubs and people in the area that made it difficult to sleep at night. Water was also limited. There was one water jug inside the hotel for all guests that was often empty. And there was one water jug in the pool area, which we were told we cannot fill our water bottles with. Most hotels generally have refillable water stations on every floor so we were taken aback by this, especially considering the Miami heat and need to stay hydrated.The hotel's backyard and private beach access was the highlight of this resort. The pool, jacuzzi, outdoor bar and lounge area felt very luxurious. I would especially like to shoutout one of the outdoor waitstaff, Juan who was very attentive and friendly to me and my friends and made our stay so much more enjoyable.  We really enjoyed our time at the beach and outdoor lounge area however I am not sure I would come back. 

The shower water was not hot my room was freezing 

Have stayed here many times and it's really the best for the price on the ocean side of Collins. So convenient and really nice pool. Everyone who works there is really nice and helpful. Usually there's some small issue each time I'm there but never enough to really bother us. This time it was one of the shades was broken in the down position. I'm sure we could have had it fixed but it was a short trip so didn't bother. I've stayed in a lot places in South Beach and the Marseilles is by far my favorite.

The stay was wonderful, the staff is awesome, my only complaint is the water pressure in our room was very bad,  with that said the room was clean and nice and the hotel was very clean as well

Gutted as I really wanted to be positive about this stay, but the attitude of front desk staff was a disgrace.  You pay for location, and we knew that before booking.  Beach and pool staff really friendly. If your anywhere near the lift, expect noisy interrupted sleep

Every thing was clean. The rooms were nice and spacious. Staff was so friendly … the happy hour dollar drinks are awesome … nothing but positive things to say ! :)

I enjoyed my stay overall. They staff was very helpful, attentive and polite.
The most challenging was the size of the room. There was my adult daughter and I. We are both tall so we noted that the beds were "double" size, not queen size as advertised. They are not the same thing. No way two Queen size beds would have fit in that room.
The hotel restaurant is decent but nothing we ate was worth "$$$" prices. Also, I was surprised to see the a service charge of 10% on the restaurant bill. I was told that was for tipping the kitchen staff. I've only ever seen the tip that I pay be of my choosing and a customary 20-30%. While I did tip the wait staff the 20% + amount if I have such a bill in the future I'll be more inclined to tip the waitress 8-10%, because I don't like hidden charges.
And, perhaps this is just a South Beach thing but not offering drip coffee with free refills is absurd.  
Regarding parking. It was $23/day on a first come first serve basis. Parking for the four days was paid upfront. On the third day there was no space in the parking area and my $23 for that day was wasted and I had to pay to park somewhere else.  The parking lot was not totally dedicated to Marseilles customers with is another reason it was hard to find parking in their lot. The lot is small and so it's difficult to get in and back out of parking spaces. Security gate did not close completely in the lot.

All that being said it was a nice, clean stay even though overpriced in so many ways.

Everything was good but that elevator omg it was so loud couldn’t sleep overall it was Aight 

Marseilles Beachfront Hotel was an absolute wonderful stay. The pool was so relaxing with great music to listen to and pool side service of food and drink. The poolside bar had excellent fruity, blended drinks! The walk to the beach was just a minute and the hotel also provided drink and food service to the beach. Our stay included a beach umbrella and 2 chairs on the beach each day. The happy hour was very limited in the choices but still a nice touch. The patio restaurant Chloe's was amazing! We would definitely stay again!

Friendly staff. Quick service and conveniently located.

The property was centrally located for restaurants, shopping along Lincoln Ave.  The bathrooms are very small with no counter space to place anything (hot curling iron) and the rooms were just okay. It did have a small ledge to place your toiletries.   Its an old building.  There is no disability access (ramp at entrance). They told me I would have to carry the person and wheelchair into the hotel.  The pool and bar area were super cute. And the best part is the hotel was along the beach. I would only come back if for the location.

Okay we decided to stay here after seeing in a number of times we usually stay at the national hotel and decided to try something different. It's generally been rehabbed over the last probably 5 years so it really is nice. The Marseille on the other hand definitely needs some work. It looks like the rooms at least our room had been probably updated I would say within the last 10 years but it was already showing a few signs of wear like the bathroom had this nice like really thick glass sink but it was painted on the bottom and was beginning to peel off so they need to do something about that the shower was fine we had adequate hot water plenty of pressure. What are the weird things was that we had central air which was not working very well. There was also an air conditioner in the window and it was fairly warm and there even though the the temperature outside was fairly cool the front faces the Sun so of course the room began to heat up. That little air conditioner did a good job of cooling the room down I mean the room itself is not that huge so it was not over taxed. I did like the fact that they had these nice blinds that you can lower that would keep the room really dark. A lot of times in these hotels they have barely any kind of sun shade so in the morning when that sun comes up and you want to sleep in you better put the pillow on your head. There's no full service restaurant with surprises me a little bit in a hotel that size. They do serve breakfast & lunch.

First time staying here and had a great time. My only complaint is that the door to the boardwalk does not open until 8 am which means to get to the beach to watch the sunrise you have to walk out front and around the property.

It was a quick one-night stay, we were in MIA for business and this was a perfect spot to end our stay, we will defiantly come back again, but next time we will stay longer 

Perfectly located, clean, big rooms, nice pools and bar, easy access to the beach.

Nice lobby as you walk in. All staff that we encountered were friendly. Great location. Walk through to the nice pool area, bar area and right out to the beach. Guests get passes for 2 beach chairs each day. Beach attendants were friendly and helpful. The guest Happy Hour between 6-7 every night with free drinks! It is ( expected to tip bartender $1.00 per drink.). The room is decent. A little bit small but not bad. Beds, pillows were pretty good. The room has no bureau which makes it a little difficult to unpack. Bathroom was ok. Sink placement is kinda high and awkward. Water pressure in shower was a little low. Bathroom really needs a fan, and would be better if window could open or at least be able to see thru. There is a vent in the bottom of the main door which did allow sounds from the hallway to be heard. I did enjoy my stay overall! I would stay at the Marseilles again.

The hotel is in a great location! Close to the beach and restaurants!

This hotel was ok.  It is not the normal hotel that we have stayed at in South Beach.
